Established in 2010, the journey started in a lower level underground space on Coney Island Ave in Brooklyn, NY, inspiring the Underground Boxing Gym name.

Head Coach/Owner Ilya Mesishchev focused on strong olympic style training for all boxers within the program. In a short period of time, Underground had built a strong reputation with a high level boxing team, winning at the top city, state, regional and national levels.

Ilya has groomed many members that started as complete beginners to amateur and professional champions.

Several years after, the Underground team grew and expanded to a larger location in the Sheepshead Bay area. Many amateur and professional boxers worldwide were looking for the opportunity to train at Underground with Ilya.

The new Underground Boxing Gym location on 609 Ave X Brooklyn, NY 11235 offers great programs for kids, teens and adults starting from ages 4 & up and caters to all ambition levels wanting to grow stronger, healthier and stay fit through boxing training.
